Amman, Nov. 5 (Petra) -- The Public Security Directorate (PSD) has urged citizens to exercise caution and follow safety guidelines as the Kingdom is expected to experience unsettled weather on Friday and Saturday.
According to forecasts issued by the relevant authorities, the Kingdom will be affected by a relatively cold air mass, bringing occasional rain showers that may be heavy at times and accompanied by thunderstorms in some areas.
The PSD spokesperson advised citizens to stay away from valleys, flood channels and low-lying areas. Motorists were also urged to drive carefully on wet roads due to the risk of skidding.
Drivers were advised to reduce their speed and maintain a safe distance from other vehicles in areas affected by fog, particularly during the morning hours in mountainous regions, as well as parts of the Badia and plains.
The spokesperson also highlighted the need for caution when driving in Badia areas, where dust could reduce horizontal visibility. Citizens were further advised to use heating equipment safely and ensure adequate ventilation.
The spokesperson said PSD personnel were ready to respond to various weather conditions and emergencies, urging citizens to follow the instructions and guidelines issued by the relevant authorities.
Citizens were also urged to contact the unified emergency number (911) whenever necessary.
